CompTIA’s State of the Channel 2021 provides an in-depth review of the trends shaping the technology ecosystems of US, Canada, UK, Benelux and ANZ.

CompTIA’s International State of the Channel research chronicles last year’s unprecedented events, but the findings mainly turn an eye toward that future and what’s next for the channel. Cautious optimism is the main takeaway.

Like most industries today, the information technology (IT) channel has been recovering from or surviving pandemic tremors and their fallout. The pain points have been innumerable: Customers putting the brakes on spending or going out of business entirely; internal projects stalling as budgets froze; and staff transitioning abruptly to remote work. Not all the news was bad, though; in some cases, the pandemic catalyzed customers to accelerate their digital transformation efforts, drawing on channel firms to help them do so. Remote work, stressful at it was for businesses, gave a boost to managed services providers.

With expert insights spanning the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), and Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux) markets, CompTIA’s International State of the Channel explores the key themes of:

  • General health of the channel now and years ahead.
  • Emerging technology adoption – happening or not?
  • Partner experience: how vendors deliver it and what partners demand.
  • Today’s tech portfolio: what is hot, what is not
  • Cybersecurity and the channel
