Bob Gronenthal lives to serve, and that’s no platitude. Twenty-six years ago, while kicking off his pursuit of a criminal justice degree, he signed on with a volunteer ambulance company serving a portion of the 912 square miles that comprise Suffolk County and its more than 1.5 million residents.
