ASCII Insight: MSPs Share Their Thoughts On Conferences And Events

ascii

In our ongoing quest to provide you with the best business advice possible, we’ve partnered with The ASCII Group and their members who are going to share their thoughts on timely topics or best business practices. In this article, the following ASCII member answered our questions about attending conferences and events, either in person or virtual:

Q: What can an in-person event provide that a virtual event can’t?

Liberman: The press of flesh, or more seriously, eye contact, body language, and other clues we’ve learned to act upon.

Bloomfield: True human interaction. Although a virtual event that is done properly can get you a good way toward the end goal, it is missing true human interaction, something that we need as human beings. With an in-person event, you can truly read someone’s body language, watch their interactions, and more importantly, truly connect with them.

Hassel: Whenever one is at an in-person event body language is important; that is something that has been missed with virtual events. It is also easier to have multiple conversations, whereas virtual events tend to be unidirectional.
