MSP360 Remote Assistant Now Available For Apple OSs
MSPs can now use MSP360’s freeware tool to provide support from Mac computers, iOS devices
MSP360, formerly known as CloudBerry Lab, the leading provider of multi-cloud data backup and recovery solutions, has launched two releases of MSP360 Remote Assistant for MSPs using Apple operating systems (OSs) to manage and provide client support: MSP360 Remote Assistant for macOS and MSP360 Remote Assistant for iOS.
MSPs can now access MSP360 Remote Assistant, the company’s freeware tool that enables quick and secure connections to remote systems, making it easier for MSPs to provide support to their clients over the internet, from all macOS computers, and devices of all sizes running iOS or iPadOS.
MSP360 Remote Assistant for macOS
The product enables two authentication types for remote connections:
- Authentication via PIN.
- Authentication via encryption key.
MSP360 Remote Assistant for macOS supports the meetings feature. In the current version of the tool, this feature is supported only in client mode
The debut version of the application provides customers with basic chat functionality, which includes real-time chatting via both text and voice.
All data transmissions performed by MSP360 Remote Assistant for macOS are secured with public key encryption.
MSP360 Remote Assistant for iOS
MSP360 Remote Assistant for iOS provides a convenient user interface that makes controlling the remote machine easy and comfortable on any iOS and iPadOS device
And that's just the beginning: This is only the first version of the application, and many additional features will be arriving in future releases.
The products main features include the following:
- Remote control: Use MSP360 Remote Assistant for iOS as a remote control tool to deliver quick support or unattended access with encryption.
- Meetings: Participate in meetings while out of the office or traveling.
- VoIP: Chat with your remote peers using voice instead of the keyboard (background VoIP supported).
- Text chat: Use your keyboard if you are not able to talk.
- Quick actions: Send key combinations directly to the remote machine.

MSP360 Remote Assistant for macOS and MSP360 Remote Assistant for iOS are available free of charge to MSPs.
These releases add to MSP360’s growing solutions portfolio designed to assist MSPs with managing client environments from Apple OSs, including the company’s iOS app for Managed Backup Service.
