How VARs Can Help Restaurants Meet Changing Consumer Demand

By Jon Brandon, VP of Channel Sales, Harbortouch

Q: What do restaurants want from a POS system in response to changing customer demand?

Brandon: Consumers are beginning to expect restaurants to integrate technology that improves their ordering and dining experience. This expectation has led restaurants to actively seek out technology solutions that can improve the customer experience while also improving their business operations. Some features that address this demand include loyalty functionality, mobile integration, online ordering, online reservations, and tableside order entry. All of these features add value and convenience for the customer while also helping the restaurant more effectively manage sales and service.
